1. What is the VII WPC Youth Forum?

VII WPC Youth Forum is a unique event in the world of oil and gas. Youth Forum has been held since 2004.
Over the past years, the Forum has become the leading platform for communication between representatives of large oil and gas companies and young professionals.


2. When and where is the VII WPC Youth Forum being held?
WPC Youth Forum will take place on September 29 – October 2 at the Kazakh-British Technical university.

The KBTU building is located in the very center of Almaty in the square of Tole bi, Kazybek bi streets, Panfilov pedestrian street and Abay avenue. The university is located near a number of significant cultural and historical sites. There are several 3*-5* hotels within walking distance near the university’s building. The road to the airport takes 30 minutes.

3. COVID-19 safety measures
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, VII WPC Youth Forum will be held in strict compliance with health and safety measures, carefully drawn up by the Organizing Committee in line with the WHO recommendations. The Forum will provide a full range of services to enable participants to effectively nurture and expand their business network and enjoy safe and productive participation, including that in a rich cultural and sporting programme.

4. What is the World Petroleum Council?
The World Petroleum Council (WPC) is a non-advocacy, non-political organization with charitable status in the U.K. and has accreditation as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) from the United Nations (UN). The WPC is dedicated to the promotion of sustainable management and use of the world’s petroleum resources, for the benefit of all.


5. What is the Kazakhstan National Committee?
The Kazakhstan National Committee is one of 64 member countries representing the World Petroleum Council. Kazakhstan joined the World Petroleum Council in 1997. In June 2008, Kazakhstan renewed its membership in the WPC under the auspices of the KAZENERGY Association.
Since joining the World Petroleum Council Kazakhstan has implemented a number of initiatives to strengthen ties between members of the organization.
